Sarah Warner

Sarah Warner (she, her).

Founder and Director.

With over 8-years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Sarah has worked within three influential organisations across animal protection, accelerating markets for alternative proteins, and revolutionising health through plant-based nutrition. She has covered a range of roles across organisational leadership and strategy, financial management, project management, business development and people & culture; as well as being pivotal to the start-up of two of the not-for-profits she has worked for prior to founding Growing Plant-Based. Sarah’s most valuable experience comes from becoming a mother to twins in 2021, who have been her inspiration for creating a healthy, sustainable and compassionate world by helping to make plant-based nutrition and vegan lifestyles accessible, enjoyable and nourishing for families. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (BBus&Com) from Monash University and holds a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition through eCornell University.

Lorilee Hartney (she, her).

Director.

Starting her career in the Animal Welfare and Protection industry 15 years ago, Lorilee has worked in both the Veterinary Industry and nonprofit sector in a variety of roles from Veterinary Nursing, to coordinating complicated animal rescues, leadership, and management. She currently works within a fundraising team supporting bird conservation. Motivated by the birth of her daughter in 2020, Lorilee is passionate about supporting families to live healthy vegan, plant-based lives, and ensuring that everyone has equal access to the information required to do so. Through Growing Plant-Based Lorilee hopes to create a community focused on nurturing excellent health and compassionate care for each other, animals, and the planet, envisioning a kinder, cleaner future for all.

Monica Rundle

Monica Rundle, APD (she, her).

With over 8-years of experience as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and Certified Nutritionist, Monica offers a wealth of experience in both clinical and private practice. She has worked across numerous specialty areas, including: gastroenterology, neurosurgery, critical care, type 1, 2 and gestational diabetes, as well as in specialised bariatric nutrition support. Monica has been involved in clinical teaching both within the hospital and university settings and presented data from several clinical projects, particularly in the area of neurosurgery. Working for a busy gastroenterology practice, Monica has experience providing expert nutrition support to individuals with complex gastrointestinal disorders including; coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Further, Monica is the founder of Plant Based Family Nutrition, an online, comprehensive nutrition consultation service tailored to meet the needs of each individual or family, following or wanting to explore a more plant-focused diet, cumulated by her passion for supporting families to live healthier, more sustainable lives through plant-based nutrition. Monica holds a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Hons) from Monash University, is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and Accredited Nutritionist, is a graduate of the Low FODMAP Diet Course from Monash University and completed Plant-Based Juniors Paediatric Nutrition Course for Health Professionals.
