Individuals have the right to access the information we hold about them and to have that information corrected or modified.
1.3. Growing Plant-Based is compliant with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) including the Notifiable Data Breach Scheme.
1.4. Personal information is any information or an opinion about an identified person, or a person who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information or opinion is true or not, and whether it is recorded in material form or not.
1.5. Our website may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of linked websites and linked websites are not subject to our privacy policies and procedures.
1.6. We reserve the right to review, amend and/or update this policy from time to time, and we will update this page accordingly.
2. Collection of information.
2.1. Generally, we collect and hold personal information directly from you. This information is optional and includes voluntary submissions to subscribe to our e-newsletter, participation in surveys, one-off or recurring donations, or other such submissions via our website or other direct contact, such as email, phone or through our social media channels.
2.2. We may gather information, such as personal information from publicly available sources or non-identifiable aggregated tracking information when you engage with our website or social media channels.
3. Personal information we may collect.
3.1. For all individuals we deal with, we may collect your name, contact details, (including postal address, telephone number and email address), geographic location, occupation, parenting or family status, and other forms of personal information.
3.2. You may agree to share any personal stories or experiences, or appear in a photograph, video, or other recording for Growing Plant-Based, including for our marketing or promotional purposes. In those circumstances, we will provide you with a separate media consent form which applies in addition to this privacy policy.
3.3. We collect non-identifiable information, when you engage with our website such as your device ID, device type and information, geo-location information, Internet Protocol (IP) address and standard web log information.

5.1. Growing Plant-Based is committed to storing your personal information securely, and we take all reasonable measures to ensure that it is stored safely to protect it from interference, misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
5.2. We store your personal information electronically, hosted on third party data servers which may be located outside of Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure any third party data storage suppliers we partner with have appropriate cyber and physical security controls in place.
5.3. We do not store physical copies of your personal information. Any physical copies of personal information that are received or obtained are filed in electronic format and disposed of.
5.4. Where personal information held is no longer necessary for our operations, Growing Plant-Based deletes information or permanently de-identifies it, subject to specific laws in respect of data retention.
5.5. Our website provider uses hypertext transfer protocol secure (HTTPS) and secure sockets layer (SSL) protocols, which establishes an encrypted link between our website and a user’s web browser and ensures that all data passed between our website and a user’s web browser remains private. However, no method of transmission of information over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
